Pregnancy Rate Detection - Cows

The Pregnancy Rate Detection report provides data to track cows' pregnancy rates according to 21-day estrus cycles. Cows eligible for analysis and inclusion in the report must have achieved a minimum number of Days in Milk that exceeds the set Voluntary Waiting Period (VWP) following calving. Use this insight to determine your success in identifying heat and pregnancy eligible cows and processing them effectively. The report can generate data according to user-defined periods, allowing you to compare performance data over extended periods.

Column

Description

Date

The report is organized into 21-day time intervals: 21 days is the typical length of an estrus cycle.

Heat Eligible

Displays the number of cows who've exceeded the minimum VWP/DIM threshold within the time period, and should be eligible for heat detection.

Heat

Displays the number of recorded heat events (whether followed by an insemination or not) detected within the 21-day interval.

(In the General Fertility Report, Distribution of Cycles is calculated only for heats followed by an insemination.)

Heat Detection Rate %

Displays the rate of detected heat events out of the number of heat eligible cows.

If heat detection rates drop significantly, consider where improvements can be made.

Sum target: 66% minimum

Pregnancy Eligible

Lists the number of cows whose DIM exceed their VWP at the start of the 21-day interval. These cows are also confirmed not pregnant and are not recently assigned not-for-insemination or for culling.

Pregnancy

Lists the number of pregnancy eligible cows for whom an effective insemination was detected within the 21-day interval.

Pregnancy Rate %

Rate of successful inseminations out of the number of pregnancy eligible cows.

Target sum: 20% minimum

Abortion

Number of abortions within the period.

C.R. %

Number of successful pregnancies out of the total number of inseminations (Conception Rate).
