Update MPC software

Afimilk software is regularly updated with improvements and new features. To enjoy these, the software on the MPC Control Boxes must be updated.

Note: It is crucial all the milk meters carry the same embedded software version.

AfiFarm identifies the new unit once there is communication with the milking parlor. If the software in a unit differs from other units, it will display boot at start up. In such situations, updated software must be loaded to this control box.

Note: Loading software is only allowed during milking sessions, when the control unit is in either Wash mode or in Removal mode (i.e. not during actual milking of a cow).

To update the MPC software

  1. To upgrade a single MPC press .

    The display on the meter being upgraded show the following sequence:

    1. The message that was entered appears briefly (158)

    2. LoAd appears briefly

    3. Strt appears briefly

    4. A countdown begins, indicating the remaining time for download. For example, if the countdown starts near 38, the display shows A38.0, A37.9 and so forth. When complete, the meter returns to its previous state (Wash OR Removal).

Note: If at the end of this procedure the MPC displays boot, repeat the entire load procedure. Please contact support if the second attempt also fails.
