Daily Feed Consumption in Groups Report

Use this report to monitor group and individual feed consumption in a specific pen.

To access the AfiFeed Reports

  1. In the Folder List pane, expand the Individual Feed folder.

  2. In the Report List pane, click Daily Feed Consumption in Groups report.

The report references Day -1 as yesterday (from the day of viewing), Day -2 as the day before yesterday, and Day -3 as two days before yesterday. Week is the last week from Day -1. This means the report shows 3 days and the total for the last week.

When there are fewer cows in the pen, consumption is less. Since the number of cows in the pen can change over the days, make sure the Consumed value represents the number of cows.

In the report, Pen 1009 has two lower consumption values marked in red. This might indicate a problem with the food (dampness) or that the feeder is malfunctioning (3 rather than 4 motors are distributing feed). The lower table displays the values for the individual cows in the pen.

This report is also used to determine if the feed volumes in the silos are nearing empty. Calculating the consumption values a single group (number of animals in group multiplied by average consumption of a single animal) can be used to determine how much feed has been consumed, and by inference, the amount of remaining feed in each silo.
