Herd View

Herd View Part 1: Overview of the Herd View tree, and Status folders

Herd View Part 2: Further details about the data available via Herd View

The Herd View tool provides a snapshot of the animals on the farm. The data displayed is for the same day. It is accessed via the shortcut icon, or in the Folder list, under Animals folder.

The Herd View tree organizes all the animals on the farm according to their various statuses.

Within the herd folder, are a set of the following Status folders:

  • Milk - for all groups defined as animals for milking.

  • Dry - for all groups defined as animals sent to dry.

  • Heifer - for all groups with animals defined as heifers.

  • Male - for all groups with male animals.

  • Parking - for all groups with animals no longer milked and waiting to be sold or culled, etc.

Nested within each status folder, are the group folders. The groups are automatically assigned and organized by AfiFarm to the correct status folder when they are defined in AfiFarm as milk, dry, heifer, etc (see Definitions - Group / Herd on page 1).

Click any folder, at any level, to display the animal data for all animals within the folder. The data is divided into various parameters (classification, fertility, Gynecological status, etc.), and into further definitions.
