Sort ID Malfunctions Report

Low ID rates in the sort station may result in missing cows for sorting and loss of weight data collection.

The Sort ID Malfunctions report indicates the identification quality in the sort station, as follows:

Column

Description

Session

Indicates milking session.

Milked

Displays the number of cows milked in the parlor during the milking session. Since the number of cows in the parlor corresponds with the cows passing the sort gate, this number is the reference for calculating ID quality.

Identified in Milking

Displays the total number of cows identified during the session.

Identified in Sort

Displays the total number of cows identified in the sort station. If fewer animals are Identified in Sort, than were Identified in Milking, it is probably due to Sort Gate ID system faults.

Not Identified in Sort

Displays the total number of cows not identified at the Sort Gate compared to the number of cows identified during milking.

Identified in Sort %

Displays the percentage of cows identified during sort, compared to the number of cows identified in milking. Identification rates that drop below 98% suggest a fault with the photocells, or an ID system fault.

Communication ID

Fault icon indicates ID controller communication fault.
